    Court Records (1905–2017)

Records of court cases in which the Society, its officers or Jehovah's Witnesses were parties: libel suits of the Russell era (the Washington Post, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle and the "Miracle Wheat"), the 1918 Espionage Act trial of the Society's directors, the Moyle libel case (1943), the Walsh case in Scotland (1954), the Australian ban case (1943), later disputes such as the Supreme Court of Canada case on the review of a judicial committee (Wall, 2018), and the decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court in the Witness cases of 1938–1955 (from the official United States Reports), which shaped American law on freedom of religion, speech and the press. Court records are public documents; they show the evidence and testimony as given at the time.

These works were not published by the Watch Tower Society; see the Related Works section page for why they are in this library.
