    Origins: Prophetic Interpretation (1823–1910)

Protestant interpreters of Daniel and Revelation whose methods shaped Adventist and Bible Student chronology: the "year-day" principle, the 1260, 1290 and 1335 days, and the "seven times" counted as 2,520 years (John Aquila Brown, 1823). Here are E. B. Elliott's Horae Apocalypticae, the Christadelphian founder John Thomas and the Lutheran J. A. Seiss. C. T. Russell's Studies in the Scriptures build on this tradition and cite some of these writers.
