    Press and Reports (1888–2014)

How newspapers, magazines and public bodies reported on Russell, Rutherford and the Bible Students / Jehovah's Witnesses, from the Brooklyn Daily Eagle articles of 1888–1916 and the "Miracle Wheat" reports, through the "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" campaign and the radio era, to magazine features of the 1940s and a scrapbook of clippings up to 1961, and on to later reports: the Brooklyn papers on Bethel and the sale of the Brooklyn properties (1990–2004), British and American press reports of 2011–2014 (the Telegraph, the Mirror, Team 10), the annual reports of the French government's Miviludes, a UN report on conscientious objection and a press release of the European Court of Human Rights. A 1920 book of Morning Post conspiracy articles shows the press of the post-war years. Newspaper reports reflect the views of their writers and were often hostile or sensational; they are included as historical sources, not as statements of fact.
